When facing a mental health crisis, it can be difficult to know where to turn. CREST can help you overcome your crisis and connect you to the ongoing services you need. CREST provides rapid access to short-term, recovery-oriented crisis services to address both crisis intervention and stabilization for adults with a mental health crisis. Our crisis services help people as they navigate their crisis, overcome obstacles, and plan their ongoing mental health needs.
Position Title: Peer Specialist
Position Type: Full Time; 35 Hours Weekly

Department: CREST
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a multi-disciplinary team
- Facilitate Peer Recovery support groups
- Provide outreach support visits
- Assist consumers with activities of daily living through modeling and coaching
- Assess client emotional wellbeing, clinical symptomology, and behavioral changes
- Provide psychosocial education related to mental illness, symptom management, and medication compliance
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Peer training at MHA or eligible
