We are currently seeking a 3rd BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our growing pediatric specialty group in Santa Clara, California. The position is a full-time position. Responsibilities for this clinical position include consultations in the inpatient and outpatient pediatric setting diagnosing and caring for children with a variety of GI, liver, pancreatic and motility disorders. One should be proficient in flexible endoscopies, interpretation of impedance/pH testing and video capsule endoscopy review. Candidates with additional motility training are welcome. The candidate should have excellent communication and teaching skills.
We are an established Pediatric Gastroenterology program based at Kaisers Santa Clara Medical Center, which includes 2 physicians, a case manager, registered dietitians, social worker, child psychiatry, child life, embedded pharmacist, onsite pediatric infusion center and support staff. Our physician group cares for approximately 180,000 pediatric patients in the South San Franscisco Peninsula and Silicon Valley Area. This position offers the opportunity to work in group practice with state-of-the-art electronic medical record, excellent subspecialty support and camaraderie, and an innovative and patient care focused environment. The inpatient setting at our Santa Clara Medical Center includes a 26-bed level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 26-bed Pediatric ward and an 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and Pediatric Critical Care/Intensivists. We also work closely with our 13 fellow Pediatric Gastroenterologists at Kaiser Oakland and Roseville/Sacramento Medical Centers. Call sharing is organized with the Oakland Pediatric GI Group.
Our medical center supports a well-developed multispecialty group including Cardiology, Child Abuse, Development, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology & Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology/Epilepsy, Pulmonology/Sleep, Palliative Care, Adolescent Medicine, Child Abuse Medicine, Rheumatology, and Pediatric Surgical Specialties.
We have teaching opportunities for Boston University medical students, Stanford medical students, pediatric and family Medicine residents.

Requirements:
Is Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology and have or can obtain active medical license in the state of California. Should be comfortable providing inpatient and outpatient care as well as performing procedures. Must be willing to teach medical students and residents who rotate through our clinics and most importantly be willing to work collaboratively and collegially.

Full-time annual salary range is $255,000 to $275,040 plus additional potential incentives up to $16,000*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
