Pediatrician

Sto-Rox Neighborhood Health Council (SRNHC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated physician to join our team and help us fulfill our mission of providing quality, exceptional healthcare to individuals in our community. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving vulnerable communities, committed to addressing healthcare disparities, and capable of providing comprehensive medical care to children including adolescents.

SRNHC is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing patient-centered care demonstrating "Healthcare with a Heart." The physician will be a core member of the Sto-Rox Family Health Center patient care team located at 710 Thompson Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Full and part-time candidates are invited to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pediatric assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans for underserved children.
• Provide well-child exams, immunizations, and developmental screenings.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurse practitioners, care coordinators, dentists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Participate in community outreach and health education programs to promote child wellness and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Stay current with pediatric medical advancements and best practices to deliver evidence-based care.

• Participate in quality improvement, peer review, staff education, and patient satisfaction activities.
• Maintain professional competence and certification by completing continuing medical education requirements.
• Participate in shared on-call services.

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered license, to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
• Current, unencumbered, DEA license to prescribe medications in the State of Pennsylvania
• Board Certification required
• Required Clearances: Act 79 FBI*Act 34 Criminal Clearance*Act 33 Child Clearance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Computer skills: Experience working with EHR - Electronic Health Information Systems.
