Job description
Overview:
Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland, is seeking a full time pediatrician to join our academic ambulatory pediatric practice. It is a unique opportunity to practice general pediatrics, and continue teaching opportunities with pediatric house staff and medical students.
We are seeking a B/C or B/E pediatrician to join a thriving and busy ambulatory practice of 7 pediatricians, based at Mercy Medical Center’s downtown campus location. Located five blocks north of Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor, Mercy is consistently ranked by US News and World Report as Maryland’s top community hospital (currently #1). We are regionally regarded for the provision of quality care that is patient-oriented and high value. Mercy is known not only for its surgical and subspecialty expertise, but also its focus on women’s and children’s health, commitment to graduate medical education, and a high quality, integrated medical staff. Inpatient services are provided in the recently built, $400 million replacement facility. Mercy’s Family Childbirth and Children’s Center is the busiest delivery center in Baltimore City, and has a Level III NICU for infants in need of intensive or specialty care.
The Pediatric practice group serves families who live in and around downtown Baltimore (in addition to many children of our Mercy employees). Pediatric residents from the University of Maryland rotate at Mercy in the hospital and the practice and approximately 10 residents have their longitudinal continuity experience at the practice. Mercy has a Pediatric Hospitalist program in which the Pediatrician covers the Pediatric Urgent Care, supervise nurse practitioners in the Newborn Nursery, and supervise the residents for care of patients on the Pediatric floor. The hospitalists are board certified pediatricians and cover 24/7. Call is shared by the other members of the practice, and is supported by an after-hours Nurse Call answering service for the patients in the practice. Offer includes a competitive salary, CME, leave, and retirement benefits. Interested candidates should send CV, and contact Dr. Susan J. Dulkerian @ 410-332-9550 or sdulkerian@mdmercy.com
