Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (Maternity Coverage)

The Therapy SPOT is a clinician owned pediatric therapy clinic offering speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Our office is looking for a speech therapist to provide short term coverage in our Farmington Hills office from May-August 2024 for 24-26 hours per week. . The position is part time, short term, in our Farmington Hills office. There is an opportunity to stay on for either PRN or part time ongoing work for candidates who are interested.

At The Therapy SPOT, we emphasize parent involvement in therapy sessions and utilize sensory and play based models. We provide mentorship and clinical support and place a strong value on continuing education. In addition to having an interest or familiarity with neurodiversity affirming approaches, we are also focusing our search on candidates who have training in Natural Language Acquisition/Gestalt Language processing or who at least have an interest in learning these approaches.

Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans
- In-depth knowledge of speech and language physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience providing speech therapy services to pediatric patients is a plus

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
