We are seeking an energetic Speech-Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist to be a part of our wonderful pediatric therapy team!

Some exciting opportunities within our team:

Full-Time Position:

  • Full-Time Speech Therapist (Location: In Clinic. Farm based on availability)Trained Feeding Therapist can integrate feeding sessions into schedule

Full-Time Schedule: Four/Five days per week, minimum of 26 hours of available treatment sessions/week (unfilled cancellations to be used for doc time/evaluation write-ups), progress reports and re-evaluations as required

Part-Time Positions (schedule built around therapist availability):

  • Pediatric Speech Therapist (Location: In Clinic, Oahu)
  • Pediatric Feeding Therapist (Location: In Clinic, Oahu)
  • Pediatric Speech Therapist - Hippotherapy/Nature Based (Location: Wailua, Outdoor Clinic, Oahu)

Remote Position (schedule built around therapist availability):

  • Pediatric Speech Therapist (Remote)
  • Pediatric Feeding Occupational Therapist (Remote)

Note: CLINICAL FELLOWSHIPS ARE NOT ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME.

Dedicated Six-Person Administrative Team: Provides an established communication pathway for new client inquiries and current client requests/questions, thereby increasing therapist time to focus on therapy!

  • Full-Time Schedule Coordinator (pre-builds caseload for new hires, fills cancellations when able, communicates directly with clients regarding all schedule needs, manages therapist’s schedule requests, contacts families when therapist is out)
  • Insurance Medical Biller (provides guidance on insurance billing and coding and submits all authorizations and claims to insurance companies)
  • Full-Time Clinic Coordinator (maintains clinic inventory, orders supplies and assists with the daily flow of the clinic, including supervision of the volunteers)
  • New Client Coordinator (sends families initial intake paperwork and completes setup of services)
  • Full-Time Grounds Manager (cleaning and maintenance, including setup and cleanup of feeding sessions)
  • Volunteers!!! (therapy students trained in disinfecting and clean up procedures and are available to lend an extra hand when needed)

  • Large sensory designed gym space including zipline, ball pit, trampoline, rock wall, and multiple suspension points
  • 3 shared and 5 individual treatment rooms for varied client needs (e.g. glow room, pretend play room, calming cave room)
  • Extensive variety of equipment/supplies with dedicated craft closet, slime cabinet, various swings and gross motor equipment, game closet
  • Extensive variety of assessments
  • Annual budget to purchase additional therapist requested materials
  • Dedicated staff parking and office space with therapist desks

Therapy Team

  • Multidisciplinary team with cotreatments promoting collaboration
  • Weekly whole-team and individual-discipline meetings for case discussions and continuing education
  • Dedicated occupational therapy lead providing one-on-one mentorship/individual training, documentation support, progress/re-evaluation report tracking and scheduling for team
  • In-session one-to-one mentorship through treatment demonstrations with clinic owner as requested
  • Team Approach: the SLP team often share clients that come multiple times a week to allow for treatment collaboration and shared responsibility.

Scheduling Perks

  • Flexible schedule for all part time positions. Full time positions have scheduling options for days worked.
  • Extensive client waitlist for the clinic, guarantee of therapy hours
  • Observation time prior to commencing treatment based on individual needs
  • Initial evaluations scheduled in a 1.5-hour time slot

Sprouts Therapy, LLC is a pediatric habilitation program offering intensive occupational, speech, physical and feeding therapy on the island of O'ahu. We provide brain, motor and sensory-based treatment promoting independence, community integration, fine/gross motor skill development, communication and social skill development.

Sprouts Therapy provides evaluations and treatment for children of all ages with the following:

Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, Emotional Regulation Difficulties, Learning Disabilities/ Dyslexia, Delayed Milestones In Childhood, Visual Motor Difficulties, Ocular Motor and Functional Vision difficulties, Lack of Coordination, Muscle Weakness, Fine Motor Delay, Cognitive Deficit in Executive Functioning, Gross Motor Delay, Auditory Processing Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Feeding Difficulties, Dysphagia, Parageusia, Oral Motor Delay

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess client progress and treatment plan
  • Communicate treatment outcomes to families post treatment session
  • Administration and documentation of evaluations and plans of care
  • Timely documentation, billing, and timesheet management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
  • Regularly checking and responding to Sprouts internal emails
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications:

  • SLP Certification Required
  • Master’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA
  • Obtain Hawaii License (upon hire)
  • Obtain NPI number (upon hire)
  • Obtain BLS certification by an accredited course (upon hire)
  • Complete insurance provider applications (upon hire)
  • Ability to handle physical workload
