Pediatric RN Day Shift & School Companion

Location: Annapolis, MD

Needed: Immediately

Minimum Requirements:

-Active/Unrestricted Nursing License in the State of Maryland or MultiState Compact License

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

-Current CPR/BLS Certified

-1 Year Pediatric Experience

Additional Experience is a plus:

-GT tube

-Trach

-Ventilator

-Chest Vest Therapy

-Cough Assist Therapy

Willing to train qualified & interested candidates

. This is a very sweet & fun boy. He loves life & makes everyone smile with his spunkiness. He is truly loved by all. He is extremely loved & cared for by his family. The family is very loving & very involved in all his needs. He is a very smart boy & loves going to school. He absolutely loves learning. He attends a very small Christian School. The school has a lovely warm & nurturing environment.

Responsibilites Include:

-Working one on one in the child’s home

-Preparing him for school in the morning by brushing teeth, washing face, dressing for school

-Assistance with trach changes, trach care & G-tube changes

-Occasional Assistance with bathing

-Administration of medications & feeds via the G-tube

-Administering respiratory nebulizer treatments

-Help with some writing at school & positioning school materials

Shift Available:

-3 weekdays available (Days Open)

-Hours per day about 8.5 to 8.75 hours

-Start time to be discussed

This position is available through Comprehensive Nursing Services Agency in Maryland, but the family will make the final selection of the Candidate. Comprehensive Nursing Services Agency is excellent to its employees, patients & patient’s families. This family has been with Comprehensive for 10 plus years.
