Job Description
A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for a Part-time opportunity working with the Pediatric population. In this role, the Pediatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will be responsible for providing outpatient care to patients within the organization's programs (transitional housing, residential & foster care) showing a change or decline in mental status, chronic or urgent medical conditions.

Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will be responsible for:
- Medication management + diagnosis
- Performing patients histories and physicals, risk factor assessment, ordering of therapeutic and diagnostic tests; and attend to consultations and appointments
- Prescribing medications following the clinic's policy, formulary and relevant regulations of the State
- Consulting with the Physician on cases that are beyond the scope of qualification of PMHNP
- Putting all relevant patient data in medical records and case presentations
- Formulating, execute and review healthcare education delivered to patients and families for diseases prevention
Qualifications:
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Board Certified
- Active DEA
- Medicare / Medicaid background
- Experience working with the Pediatric population
