Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Bilingual[Spanish/English]Preferred)

Southshore Bilingual Therapy, Inc. is a thriving private practice located in Wimauma, FL, offering pediatric and adolescent speech-language and occupational therapy services in a family oriented and child friendly center. Our practice continues to grow and we are seeking an energetic and passionate bilingual Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. Therapist position can grow to full-time, if desired, depending availability and desire. You will provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs (evaluate and develop plan of care)
• Implement interventions through direct therapy in accordance with physicians orders
• Provide home programs for families
• Monitor and assess patient rehabilitative programs
• Convey treatment results and patient progress to relevant parties
• Accurate and prompt documentation of treatment
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Communicate appropriate referrals to primary care physicians
• Coordinate treatment with other disciplines
• Supervision of OTA(s)

Qualifications:

• Masters or doctoral degree in occupational therapy
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida
• 1+ year experience (strong pediatric candidates with less experience will be considered)
• Ability to build rapport with patients and families
• Passion to help and motivate others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual [Spanish/English] preferred
