Responsibilities Include:
- Possess expertise in the management of complex responses of individuals, families, and communities to actual or potential health problems.
- Serve as nursing leader, consultant, researcher, educator, and direct care provider.
- Provide a visible and accessible clinical presence to the health care team.
- Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
- Educate the patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and the use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
- Utilize evidence-based medicine in clinical practice and uses research process and findings to improve nursing practice.
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues while administering quality patient care.
- Take responsibility for the enhancement of his/her own professional development.
Qualifications:
- Current NJ RN License
- Current NJ APN-NP Certification
- Master’s Degree in Nursing required
- BLS required, maintain ACLS, PALS, and NRP as appropriate to the specialty area
