We are looking for a healthcare provider to visit our childcare center once a month, as required by DCFS licensing standards.
Nurse consultants would complete a monthly review of the infant/toddler files for DCFS health requirements (current immunizations, etc.), guide families regarding their child's health, observe the classroom for health and safety practices, and occasionally provide training or workshops to staff or families.
Responsibilities:
-overview of accuracy and compliance of medical health records.
- Assess and address the immediate healthcare needs of students in emergencies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain a clean and organized healthcare facility within the school premises
- Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards in nursing practice
-occasionally conduct training sessions for administrators and staff.

Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of Illinois
- Proven experience working as a nurse, preferably in an Infant/Child Development Center/Head Start or pediatric setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately interpret healthcare information
- Familiarity with maintaining medical records and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain it within a specified timeframe
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and common childhood illnesses/injuries
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other healthcare professionals
- Dedication to providing compassionate patient care and promoting overall wellness
