Job Title: RN – Pediatric Cardiac ICU– Las Vegas, NV

• Salary: Starting at $45.35-$64.37 per hour based on years of experience.
• Night Shift Differential: $2.10 per hour.
• Weekend Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Paid in 2 payments: $5,000 at Hire and $5,000 at 2 years).

Position Details:

• Position Type: Permanent
• Schedule: Full-time – Mixed Shifts with rotating weekends / 3-12hr Shifts

Responsibilities: As an RN in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU, your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs.
• Carrying out physician orders and administering prescribed medications.
• Providing respiratory and ventilator management for patients.
• Coordinating patient care among various disciplines.
• Monitoring and documenting patient condition using computerized systems.
• Educating patients and families.
• Coordinating patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Mentoring and orienting new staff members.
• Following standard precautions and maintaining personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:

• License/Certification/Registration:
  • Current license in Nevada as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current certifications required: BCLS, PALS, ACLS.
  • TNCC (within 1 year of hire).
  • Passing score on Critical Care Test/Rhythm interpretation examination.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred, ASN grads must be enrolled in a BSN program).
• Experience:
  • 1+ years of current acute care hospital critical care experience.
  • Current Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nursing experience preferred.
• Qualifications/Skills:
  • Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
  • Customer service abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties and handle emergencies.
