POSITION OBJECTIVE
PEAK has multiple openings for a Livestock Specialist in Shawano, Wis., to care for and handle sires in a manner to achieve maximum production levels.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Handle sires of varying ages and sizes in a calm, confident manner for optimum production
Work in a system using established protocols
Perform regular livestock care including feeding, cleaning, moving cattle, assisting with health testing and veterinary treatments, and other routine tasks
Operate company farm equipment and vehicles
Clean and maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Comfortable working with large animals
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to perform occasional planned weekend duties
Capability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Capacity to work on feet and stand for long periods of time
Willingness to learn and follow company protocols
Desired
Previous livestock handling experience
Experience detecting health and disease symptoms in cattle
Ability to perform basic equipment and building maintenance repairs
Post-secondary education in agriculture or related field
Ideal
Basic computer skills working with Microsoft Office
