PCU Registered Nurse

Job Title: PCU RN

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (rotating weekends)

Location: Irving, TX 75039

Salary: $56,160-$86,112/year varies based on experience

Requirements:

• ADN (associate degree in nursing) required.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
• Current Texas State Licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact license is accepted, but TX State RN license required within 30 days of hire)
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute PCU RN nursing experience
• Candidate must have 1 year of Cardiac experience.
• Recent acute care experience within the last year is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Assess patient's condition, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform nursing procedures, such as IV insertion, wound care, and medication administration.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and alert appropriate healthcare providers of any abnormalities.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
