Additional Info:
- Minimum 1.5 years of general nursing experience required.
- Acceptance of first-time travelers with 2+ years of experience.
- Travelers must reside at least 100 miles away from any *** facility.
- Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler.
- Patient Types: Direct admits, ED admits, Post Cath Lab, etc.
- Patient conditions include MI, NSTEMI & STEMI, CHF, Dysrhythmia management, and others specified in the unit.
- Patient Ratios: RN ratio typically 1:4, occasionally 1:3 based on acuity.
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Required Education: Completion of an approved nursing education program.
- Skills Required: PCU level RN with specific experience detailed in the job description.
- Support on the Unit: CNA, Charge nurse, Phlebotomy, RT, Hospitalist, Tele tech, and others as described.
- Floating may include sister units or within the scope of practice.
- Charting System/Equipment: Experience with Epic, Alaris, Omnicell preferred.
Orientation & Scheduling:
- Orientation includes education sessions and shifts on the unit.
- Scheduling involves weekend rotations and every other holiday.
