PCMM Technician

SUMMARY Validate a part or assembly against the design intent by collecting points gathered by using a coordinate-measure machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operate CMM machine to verify various products are in dimensional accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Trouble shoot CMM programs and recommend improvements to inspection methods.
• Conduct regular maintenance on CMM and inspection equipment.
• Collect and organize data using machine controller, desktop computer with Faro Arm and Polyworks software.
• Understand programming and geometrical, dimensions, and tolerances (GD&T).
• Uses calipers, micrometers, and other precision devices as required.

• Associates degree or High School diploma and three (3) years programming experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience programming CMM's.
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent attendance record including job stability.
• Must have the ability to change and adapt to new situations.
• Must be able to read and understand blue prints and drawings.

Requires a High School diploma; and a minimum of three (3) years of programming including a minimum one (1) year programming CMM. Faro equipment and Polyworks software experience a plus.
