Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in need, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with medical procedures, such as tube feeding or wound care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Assist with household tasks, such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for the individual
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and terminology
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for individuals' privacy
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or tasks
- Familiarity with assisted living or senior care settings is a plus
