AVAILABLE SHIFTS
Monday/Wednesday 8:30am TO 12:30pm
Tuesday/Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm
The goal is to have a PCA with the client during at least 1 meal time to ensure he has the support he needs and to ensure optimal nutrition.
We prefer our PCAs and CNAs to have at least 1 year of experience working in the senior care industry, but if you're new to home care, we LOVE training our staff! Our RN is a state-certified PCA instructor, and she likes nothing more than to empower our caregivers with knowledge and skills to make sure they are prepared to do the job that we are asking them to do.
At Right at Home, we are proud of our company culture, and we work hard to build an environment of teamwork and trust with all of our caregivers and our clients. This is why we are AWESOME at our client-caregiver matching! We want to get to know you so we can get you scheduled with clients that are right for you.

We are hiring a PCA or CNA to provide care for one of our Nation's Veterans who lives in an assisted living facility. The PCA or CNA will NOT be responsible for full ADLs, since that's the responsibility of the facility. But here's how you can help our client:
- Assist client with meal, maintaining aspiration precautions at all times
- Assist with dressing
- Ensure client's brief remains dry. When it needs to be changed, you will call the facility CNA to perform this function.
- The Right at Home PCA is not allowed to bathe the client, but you will be responsible for ensuring client's hands and face are clean.
- Assist client to shave himself with an electric razor
You can also expect to provide companion care such as:
- cognitive support for someone who is living with dementia, including things like planning and doing activities with your client, engaging in conversation, redirecting your client when they get confused
- safety sitting/supervision
- This client likes music and has lots of CDs in his room
While Right at Home is NOT a house-cleaning service, all PCAs and CNAs should be prepared to provide light housekeeping services to our clients. After all, if our clients need help with bathing and dressing, they likely also need help maintaining a clean living environment. Light housekeeping duties may include but are not necessarily limited to:
- wiping down hard surfaces in your client's room
- straightening and organizing your client's drawers and closet
- straightening and organizing dressers, bedside table, etc.
- putting away clothes
- generally creating a pleasant living environment for your client
