Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PC Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing PC refresh projects, installing, and configuring Windows 11, utilizing SCCM for image management, shipping gear, and ensuring optimal performance of end-user PCs. This role requires excellent technical skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to work effectively with team members and users across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- PC Refresh: Lead and manage the lifecycle of PC refresh projects, ensuring timely and efficient upgrades of hardware and software to meet organizational needs.
- Windows 11 Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 11 operating systems, ensuring a smooth transition for end users and optimal system performance.
- SCCM Image Management: Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for creating, deploying, and managing system images and applications across a variety of hardware platforms.
- Shipping Gear: Handle the logistics of shipping and receiving IT equipment, including preparation, tracking, and documentation, ensuring that gear reaches its intended destination safely and on time.
- End-User Support: Work directly with end users to resolve PC-related issues, provide technical support, and ensure their computing needs are met with a high level of satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all processes, installations, and service tickets to ensure a transparent and efficient resolution process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support IT initiatives, share knowledge, and improve overall IT service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a PC Technician role or similar, with a proven track record of managing PC refresh projects and supporting end users.
- Strong experience with Windows 11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in using SCCM for imaging and application deployment.
- Experience with shipping and handling IT equipment, with an emphasis on accuracy and security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels within the organization.
- Current knowledge of the latest IT technologies and best practices.
Additional Requirements:
- May require travel to other office locations for equipment setup and support.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
