To provide administrative and technical support to the P&C claims team. Assist in the quality control of claims data and financial entries to meet all internal and client guidelines and requirements.
- Train and support new/current staff with FNOL tasks, general office duties, department systems, software, and equipment
- Verify and manage daily acknowledgement letters, deductible invoices, and open & closed claim reports
- Audit claims financial and deductible data for accuracy and correct as needed
- Process incoming and outgoing live checks including recoveries, reimbursements, and fee transactions
- Support adjusters, supervisors, internal auditors, and clients with financial/claim tasks
- Maintain restitution, reinsurance and check disposition logs
- Generate and audit financial and claims reports
- Perform periodic testing as needed for new systems, upgrades, and enhancements
- Serve as primary contact for internal and external customer service inquiries
May perform other functions as assigned
- High School diploma
- Experience preferred in the insurance, finance or other related industry
- Basic accounting knowledge/skills preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- General knowledge of insurance terminology
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel (or comparable spreadsheet applications),
- Strong organization skills and ability to work independently
