Position: PBX Operator/Reservationist
Department: Hotel
Wage: 16.50/hr.
POSITION SUMMARY: Operates a multi-line telephone. Provides back up to the Hotel and Front Desk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: : Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:
- Update, maintain, and distribute current phone list for the Casino.
- Sort daily mail.
- Answer telephone calls from Guests and direct them to the appropriate Team Member for assistance.
- Maintain constant awareness of all Casino services, amenities, venues, promotions and events.
- Must be able to multi-task assigned duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Will be cross-trained for Front Desk/Reservations duties including but not limited to reservations, check-in, checkout and cash handling, and area/regional tourist information.
QUALIFICATIONS (Indicate if Qualification is Required or Preferred):
1. Education: High School diploma, or Equivalent required.
2. Work Experience:
a. N/A
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
a. Must have basic computer knowledge and type 30 WPM.
b. Must be able to operator Microsoft Office Programs.
c. Must possess effective communication (verbal) skills.
d. Must be able to effectively operate a multi-line telephone switchboard within 1 month of employment.
4. Must be at least: 18 years of age.
5. Must be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.
6. Must participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
7. Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.
8. Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary.
9. Must be able to comply with all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
