Job Description:
Description: The PBX Operator provides accurate information to both internal and external customers and transfer calls accordingly.
Typical Duties:
  1. Answer calls in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Transfer calls to the appropriate department without delay.
  3. Pages hospital staff members, physicians, and employees using the pager/beeper system in accordance with administrative policies.
  4. Utilizes telephone and paging system effectively in normal and crisis situations.
  5. Operates console in an efficient manner.
  6. Maintains product and district standards as appropriate.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
    Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 1 plus years of experience in PBX.
