The Payroll Specialist will support our extraordinary teams and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Payroll Specialist located in Austin, TX (hybrid role – 3x office, 2x remote). Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this role involves coordinating various compensation-related activities to ensure that the organization’s payroll is processed accurately and on time.
How you can make an impact:
- Prepares and processes (start to finish) US multi-state and Canada payroll
- Preps and imports pay data files into the payroll system
- Independently researches and resolves critical payroll issues
- Manages company PTO programs, including paid paternity leave
- Manages payroll tax accounts in all jurisdictions and maintains compliance
- Registers and manages state/local paid family leave accounts
- Works with human resources on benefits and 401(k) deductions
- Proposes payroll process improvement
- Runs payroll reports for reconciliation purposes
- Independently reconciles payroll accounts as assigned
- Preforms payroll audits to identify discrepancies
- Assists with creation/updates to payroll procedures
- Maintains files in an organized manner, which includes labeling and filing in appropriate folder
- Works with Finance team members to ensure data is booked correctly from the payroll system
- Answers incoming requests regarding payroll questions
- Assists Finance team with financial audit requests
Bring your passion, here what’s needed:
- 5-7 years of experience processing multi-state and Canada payroll
- Full knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll laws and regulations
- Experience with payroll tax setup and compliance
- ADP Workforce payroll experience strongly preferred
- Experience with CORE ERP, preferred
- Advanced Excel skills strongly preferred, tech savvy with Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented and customer service focused
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
