Why we need you:

The Payroll Specialist accountable and responsible for all aspects of payroll for all associates. Contacts and assists community managers to obtain information for payroll production and tax related issues; verifies totals, responds to/resolves community manager questions and problems and delivers quality customer service.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of multi-state payroll experience, preferable UltiPro Software payroll experience
• Able to read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office- Word, Excel
• Strong customer service and a team player disposition
• Detail oriented with ability to plan and organize multi-tasks effectively, team player

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Process complex payroll for multiple locations and states on a bi-weekly basis. Validate the entire payroll process ensuring all information was imported correctly; runs checks and balances to ensure accuracy.
• Verification and data entry/input of time records for over 1500 employees on a weekly basis utilizing UltiPro Software.
• Process terminations, wage garnishments, direct deposits, and maintain updated and correct employee information.
• Create manual checks when required based on state, local and federal tax regulations.
• Works closely with accounting to ensure accurate and complete payroll runs, process Payroll Journal Entry.
• Respond to associate inquiries on paychecks, W-2s and other statements and reports as needed.
• Conducts research of complex issues and participates in special projects as assigned.
• Print, scan, maintain and file payroll records, reports, and supporting documents.
• Process employment verification.
• Make recommendations to Payroll Manager for process improvements as necessary.
