The Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll processing, data entry, legal filings, and reporting for all Exyte offices. Payrolls include union, non-union, contract, and salaried and hourly employees.
- Inputs various payroll related entries into the HR system and Payroll system
- Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates confirmed reports
- Prepares pay checks for delivery via FedEx to all locations
- Liaisons between all offices regarding payroll related issues concerning both union and non-union payroll
- Processes various monthly and weekly reports (or as requested)
- Trouble shoots employee timecard issues and submissions weekly
- Processes new hire documents
- Reviews completed documents
- Processes Personal Change Notices (PCN)
- Inputs data into HR modules
- Maintains files and records
- Filing as required
- Processes termination notices and checks
- Assists in processing labor and payroll
- Other duties as assigned

- 3+ years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Payroll processing experience
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Strong PC skills including advanced Excel
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management
- Ability to multi-task in a fast working environment
- Knowledge of Oracle required
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Knowledge of ADP Vantage Payroll a plus
