Payroll & Employee Benefits Specialist

The overall goal for a Payroll & Employee Benefits Specialist within Northwest Medical Homes is to help assist the HR Director in controlling the flow of employee relations in a professional and respectable manner.

***Part-time position. Flexible days and hours***

• Detail oriented
• Good judgement
• Organized & self-motivated.
• Proper over-the-phone etiquette
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good public relation/customer service skills
• Reliable & trustworthy
• Proper time management ability
• Knowledge and demonstration of HIPAA rules & regulations
• Knowledge of Department of Labor and Wage laws
• Payroll and employee benefits experience, including OFLA/FMLA

Job description: The overall goal for a Payroll & Employee Benefits Specialist within Springfield Family Physicians is to help assist the HR Director in controlling the flow of employee relations in a professional and respectable manner.

  Primary responsibilities:
  • Timecard assistance
  • Payroll management
• Obtaining necessary documents following Oregon Law Employment Practices
• Managing employee benefits and documentation
• Interviewing and hiring of new staff
• Absent reports
  

• Additional tasks:
• Staff survey's
• Scheduling provider reviews
• Employee of the Month program
• Other duties as assigned by management.
