We are looking to grow our finance team and are excited to meet Payment Poster professionals who are compassionate, dedicated, and love working with children and their families.
Payment Poster is responsible for accurately posting payments received from insurance companies and other third-party payers in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company. This individual will ensure that all payments and adjustments are posted correctly, reconciling accounts, and addressing discrepancies as needed. They will work closely with billing specialists, insurance companies, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records.

About What You’ll Work On:
Accurately post payments received from various commercial and third-party payers into the company's billing system (Central Reach).
Reconcile payments against billed services to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Maintain organized and detailed records of all payment transactions, adjustments, and any denials for future reference.
Collaborate with billing specialists, insurance representatives, and other relevant parties to resolve payment-related issues or discrepancies.
Stay updated and ensure compliance with relevant insurance regulations and billing guidelines.
Reporting: Generate reports summarizing payment trends, outstanding balances, or any issues affecting the payment process.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies, including denied claims or unpaid balances, by working closely with the billing team and payers.
Perform other duties as requested and assigned by the Billing Supervisor
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration is a plus).
Previous experience in medical billing, payment posting, or accounts receivable within a healthcare or ABA setting is highly preferred.
Strong mathematical skills, required.
Familiarity with handling payments, balancing accounts, billing and coding procedures, insurance guidelines, and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sage Intacct, Collectly, and Paragon.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records maintenance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective, professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to identify and resolve payment-related issues efficiently and effectively.
Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Analytical skills to research and solve reimbursement discrepancies based on our contracts/Fee Schedules
