Job Description: Payee Assistant
The Payee Department performs several functions.
- Representative Payee for SSDI and SSI beneficiaries
- Assisting Payee and Finance Departments
The Payee Assistant role and responsibilities:
- Meet with Consumers to determine expenses.
- Distribute weekly spending.
- Establish and explain monthly budgets.
- Assist payee consumers towards financial independence.
- Update transactions daily into access database software.
- Keep accurate payee records, transactions and receipts.
- Maintain accurate, current information and statistics on payee consumers.
- Generate monthly and annual reports as needed.
- Assist consumers on a wide variety of needs daily.
- Work directly with individuals with a mental health diagnosis daily.
- Answer phones and emails from consumers, vendors and support agencies.
- Other duties as assigned by Director.
Payee Assistant Administrative Duties:
- Filing paper and electronic documents accurately.
- Courteous phone and email communications.
- In person, compassionate customers service to a vulnerable population
Full-Time Position (40 hours per week) with Benefits
