The Paycom Staff Accountant I role is both a mentoring and project-oriented position. In this capacity, you are expected to proficiently execute all tasks typically handled by Portfolio Accountants. Moreover, the Paycom Staff Accountant I is specifically tasked with providing assistance, support, and comprehensive training to colleagues within the department, thereby serving as a mentor for the team's overall development.

Paycom Staff Accountant I Responsibilities

• 
  Must be able to perform all Portfolio Accountant I-III duties.

• Assists, supports, trains and mentors others in the department.

• Supports management/CCI Team with projects and financial requests as needed.

• May participate in portfolio Accountant Interviews alongside Asst Controllers.

• Performance Reviews - Provide detailed feedback on performance of more junior staff, supported by examples, and be present at employee reviews.

• Financial Data - analyzes and reports financial data.

• Accounting and Software - strong demonstrable understand of Yardi ledger and GL activity.

• Specialize in additional areas of accounting - assists with banking notifications and set up, software set up, assisting vendors and other internal departments.

• Report Monitoring - reviewing Portfolio Accounting reports and documents as needed.

• Property Purchases and Sales - be involved in all aspects of property transitions.

• Accounting Processes - provides input and suggestions on processes while reporting any deficiencies to supervisors.

• Audits - assists in audit organization, tracking, review and follow up.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

General Accounting Expectations

• 
  Maintain vigilance for any potential fraud and/or non-compliance with company and government guidelines.

• Immediately report suspected fraud or internal control deficiency to supervisor.

• Communicate all deficiencies in staff performance with the Assistant Controller.

We'd like to hear from you if you have:

• 
  Property Accounting Experience 2+ years

• Yardi Experience 2+ years

• Yardi Superuser a plus

• Experience training others a plus

• Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures a plus

• Supervisory experience a plus but not necessary
