Payables/Office Assistant

GELLER LIGHTING SUPPLY, Maryland’s largest independently-owned commercial lighting distributor, prides itself in serving a wide range of customer types and providing tailored solutions to meet the needs of our clients. We are seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for our company. This is a full-time position based in our Baltimore Distribution Center office.

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Assisting the accounts payable department in processing payables as necessary

· Reconciling credit card statements

· Assisting the Vice President and Managers with general tasks and special projects as assigned

· Performing a variety of general clerical duties

Qualifications

· Have a minimum of two years of professional work experience

· Be proficient with essential Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Have a high school diploma

· A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization

· Administrative/organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities

· The ability to work independently on projects (from conception to completion) and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion

· The ability to prioritize conflicting needs

· The ability to handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures

· The ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures
