We are looking to add a team member to our Paving Crew for projects in Mt. Eaton, OH and the surrounding areas.

o Position Description/Essential Functions:

• Primary duties such as: shoveling and raking, running wheelbarrow, set up of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices. Use the lute rake to straighten asphalt joints and for hand working areas the paving machine is unable to reach. Perform daily maintenance on tools to ensure they are stored properly at the end of each shift.
• In addition, this position is expected to assist in the general operation of each job site, occasionally operating paving equipment such as: grader, backhoe, loader, skid steer, power broom, roller and/or screed
• Frequent professional interaction with clients, company personnel, contractors, and public.
• Use of mobile technology for job documentation.

o Reports To:

• Works under the general supervision of the Crew Foreman

o Working Environment:

• Majority of the work is performed outdoors with exposure to weather extremes of heat and cold temperatures and subject to the hazards associated with construction, material crushing, and working with/around vehicles, equipment, and tools. Frequent exposure to loud noise.

o Required Skills:

• Industry experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Class A or B CDL not required but a plus!
• Knowledge of field safety procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instruction

o Physical Job Demands:

• Spends majority of shift performing manual labor and physically demanding tasks
• Spends portion of shift in operation of heavy equipment and machinery
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves objects weighing up to 100 lbs
• Traverses uneven terrain, climbs, enters and exits vehicles and equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
