COMPLETE CLOTHING | PATTERNMAKER (1st through production)

About This Role:
Complete Clothing is seeking an experienced contemporary Patternmaker to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fit and precision. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce high-quality patterns. This position requires a strong technical background, as well as a strong understanding of fabrics, materials, and trends.
Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate 1st through production patterns based on sketches, specs, and blocks. Ensure patterns are ready to be adapted for bulk production.
- Work closely with Design, Technical Design, Sample Makers, Cutters, and Production to set standards necessary for a quality product. Ensure calendar deadlines are met
- Partner with Technical Design to ensure factory submit samples and patterns match specifications
- Review factory patterns to ensure accuracy, fit, balance, and construction details as well as making sure factory patternmakers understand design and construction details
- Attend sample and production fittings with Design and Technical Design. Take fit notes and execute corrections
- Ensure corrections are made in a timely manner and update patterns/pattern cards
- Monitor garment/fabric shrinkage
- Work with Marking and Grading to ensure proper grade rules and sizing
- Responsible for in-house sample development process from pattern conception to approval
- Supervise and provide instructions to in-house Sample Makers
- Review samples in detail to ensure they are executed properly from the sample room
- Identify problems and/or opportunities, make recommendations and lead the implementation of solutions that improve department efficiency and quality of garment development
- Continually research new ideas & concepts for potential future designs
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in patternmaking, draping, and design development
- Strong knowledge of zero shrinkage patterns and applying appropriate shrinkage to patterns
- Proficient in Tukatech
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time-management skills and superior attention-to-detail
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach; personable and flexible with demands and changes in business
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.06 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
