Patient Transporter- Veterans & Military Encouraged

Banyan Treatment Centers is recruiting a Transporter to join our team in Wasilla, AK. This position requires a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle history (no major violations less than 3 points, 21+ years old).

We provide services to a primary substance use disorder population, specializing in treatment for Veterans and active-duty members.

Schedules Available:

• Full-time
  8-hour shifts, 3-11:30 pm/ 4 shifts a week.
• Scheduled days to be discussed in interview.

Location:

• Main site is located in Wasilla AK.
• Position requires traveling within the state of AK.

The Transporter is responsible for providing safe transportation of all Banyan Treatment Centers clients in Texas. They assist the Behavioral Health Technicians with headcounts, 1:1, and monitoring client behavior when not conducting transports. Ideally, the Transporter has excellent de-escalation skills.

Qualifications:

• Maintains a valid Driver License (less than 3 points, no major violations!)- MUST BE 21+ (insurance requirement)
• At least 3 months of work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health and/or an Associate’s Degree;required
• Able to reliably commute long distances
• A passion for the field of behavioral/mental health
• Peer Support Certification with the State of Alaska, is strongly preferred; Peer Support Certification is required within 1 year from hire date
