Patient Transporter

40hr per week Rehabilitation Aide / Tech / Patient transport position in a super friendly environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

• Transport residents as scheduled to and from treatment area.
• Prepare resident for treatment.
• Assist with treatment under direct supervision of licensed therapist.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment area, equipment, and department.
• Assist in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
• Participate in department meetings and in facility meetings as requested.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance (privacy and confidentiality)
• Perform other duties as requested.
• Filing/ Paperwork Management

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Willingness to enhance the daily lives of the residents in the facility, while contributing to promoting a positive rehabilitation atmosphere and experience.

Must have a positive, friendly, personality. Caring attitude and ability to brighten the day of people around you.

Experience: Prior experience as a Therapy Tech / Aide (with references) is a must.

SKILLS:

• Professional demeanor.
• Prior experience with older adults is required.
• Ability to work well with residents and staff.
• Have good physical and mental health.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY DEMANDS OF THE JOB WITH OR WITHOUT THE AID OF MECHANICAL DEVICES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Mobility - To move freely throughout the facility without restrictions while transporting a resident or therapy supplies
• Lifting / Assisting in Pt. Transferring – Frequent up to 60 pounds may be required.
• Climbing/Balancing - Moderately required.
• Stooping Bending - Frequently required, along with kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• Standing/Sitting - Frequent movement needed.
