Sentara Health is currently seeking a Patient Transporter at our Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
Hours/Shift: Flexi-Rotating

Facility and Position Overview:
Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250 bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, and urological services. Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care. The hospital offers a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology Services. It also encompasses a Family Maternity Center.
As a Patient Transporter with Sentara, you will safely escort and transport patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. The Patient Transporter strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. You will be responsible for communicating clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. You will also ensure adequate communication of information between Central Transport and other departments.
