Patient Transporter / Driver

NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTER

Position requires lifting and transferring patients from bed to bed. Applicant must be in good physical condition to comfortably and safely transfer patients via wheelchair and/or gurney. Must be comfortable working with patients, disabled and the elderly from diverse backgrounds. Must have good customer service skills and the ability to interact with patients, facility staff and other employees.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with transferring and balancing patients.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers during transportation.
• Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questions they may have.
• Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use navigation system accurately.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
• Transporting patients in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicates with dispatch in order to receive relevant data and instructions.
• Maintain a professional behavior, and attitudes in regards to customers, visitors, and coworkers.
• Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 22 years old
• Clean Driving Record (No DUI’s in the last 10 years, no demerit points, and no reckless driving in the past 12 months)
• Must pass federal drug test & background check
• Valid Nevada State Driver’s License
• Must be able to provide additonal proof of being licensed in the U.S. for 2 consecutive years
• 1 year experience in non-emergency transport
• 1 year customer service experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
