Job SummaryProvides assistance to the department clinical staff by monitoring and providing documentation of patients requiring direct visual observation.
Primary Duties
- Provides observation and documentation for patients requiring direct and indirect visual observation related to medical and/or behavioral conditions.
- Redirects patient behavior as needed to promote patient safety.
- Engages patient in diversion activities as needed.
- Provides assistance to the unit assigned at the direction of clinical staff.
- Assists with stocking of department
- Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
DESIRED for the position:
- 6 months recent experience in a health care setting
- Customer service experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Behavioral health experience
