Additionally as a member of the management team you will ensure safety, sanitation, patient satisfaction and good public relations with our customers. Help to develop and implement new programs to improve patient food service and retail sales.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Degree in related field from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred. Registered Dietitian, Registered Diet Technician or Certified Dietary Manager preferred or obtained within first year.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of direct foodservice operational management experience preferably in a healthcare foodservice setting.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to solve problems independently. Must be knowledgeable of and able to follow the standards of federal, state and regulatory agencies and JCAHO for sanitation, food preparation and handling. Must be able to properly identify patients and maintain confidentiality. Must complete the following Huntsville Hospital classes through Corporate University within six months: Just Culture, Top Employment Traps for Managers, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People in Healthcare, Workplace Professionalism, Selecting the Right Employees, Personal Style Indicator, A Leaders Guide to Worker's Compensation. Working knowledge of modified diets and the ability to apply modified diets to meet the nutritional needs of patients from neonates to geriatrics.
