Applicants should have knowledge of EPIC, scheduling, referral, and prior authorization experience. Medical Billing experience a plus. Wages are determined by amount of experience and knowledge of job duties.
Schedule (may include, but are not limited to):
- Monday: 10:30am-7:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am-5:30pm
- Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
Administrative Duties (may include, but are not limited to):
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Proficient in navigating EPIC
- Using multiple computer applications
- Answering a multi-line telephone system
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Completing patient registration and check-in/check-out
- Scheduling appointments
- Handling and scanning correspondence, medical records, and faxes
- Collecting patient payments and balances
- Maintain patient demographics
- Verify insurance information
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational and prioritizing skills
Work Environment: Very fast-paced and ever-changing office environment, demanding deadlines and time frames, sitting at the computer 80% of the time.
Education and Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical terminology
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
- Prior medical office experience preferred
