The Work: Your Impact, Your Responsibilities
As a Pre-Arrival Scheduler, you will:
- Coordinate the scheduling of patient procedures/diagnostics with precision.
- Utilize advanced computerized scheduling programs to set appointment times efficiently.
- Collaborate with medical and clinical staff to guarantee facility and staff availability, securing preauthorizations at the time of scheduling.
- Engage with patients and their families to deliver essential pre-procedure instructions and confirm appointments.
- Capture patient demographics, insurance information, and pre-authorizations for all scheduled encounters.
- Ensure the accuracy of orders and verify order indications, contributing to the seamless flow of healthcare services.
You Have: Unleash Your Potential
- Two or more years of preferred medical office or hospital clerical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in scheduling patients and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Exceptional communication skills that resonate with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in patient registration, pre-authorization, and medical necessity processes.
- Organizational prowess and the ability to navigate multiple tasks concurrently.
- A strong command of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication.
- Swift and accurate keyboarding skills to keep pace with the demands of a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously.
