Patient Scheduling Rep - Days - Full Time

Shift Specifics: This role is a full-time position. Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Radiology Partners is seeking a Patient Scheduling Representative who be responsible for making and scheduling patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner. The ideal candidate will be an individual that provides excellent customer service to patients and family members as well as being able to assist their support teammates and physicians on a daily basis. The ideal candidate must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Booking and the coordination of scheduling and rescheduling patient’s appointments as needed
• Must be able to multitask when answering phone, assisting patients, assisting co-workers and new employees
• Requires frequent interaction with both the Technologist and Radiologist
• Completing patient data sheets as needed
• Provides shift coverage at all facility sites as needed
• Obtaining necessary documents and information when scheduling in both the scheduling and Epic system
• Responsible for checking and utilizing fax machine on a daily basis
• Ability to communicate clearly both in person and via telephone to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians and office staff

DESIRED SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Minimum of one-year work experience; preferably within a medical office setting
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Medical Terminology desirable
• High school graduate of GED preferred
• Knowledge of clinical policies including: safety, privacy and HIPAA regulations preferred
• Knowledge of reception tasks preferred
• Knowledge of computer skills as well as office equipment preferred
• Customer Service oriented
• Standing, sitting, bending
• Viewing computer screens for long periods of time
