Qualifications Location: 4502 Old Pass Rd Gulfport, MS 39501 Job Summary: Assists in the efficient operation of the outpatient physician clinic. Establishes and maintains accurate patient schedules, coordinating with appropriate disciplines. Job Description: Coordinates and schedules clinic and hospital procedures and surgeries for assigned providers Collaborates with Diagnostic Imaging staff to coordinate and schedule diagnostic and imaging tests Collaborates with surgical services to assign surgery schedules Enters patient communication notes and provided surgical instructions in the electronic medical record Works with appropriate vendor staff to verify necessary equipment is available for Provider's procedures Serves as a patient liaison for completing pre-operative processes Communicates pre-operative instructions and information regarding tests, procedures or surgeries with patient and family Verifies prior authorizations for insurance processing Required Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One (1) year of administrative or clinical experience in a professional setting Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a business office, registration, or billing role in a hospital or clinic setting. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proficiency in the use of medical terminology and processing medical information.
