Patient Expediter

Qualifications

• MUST BE BILINGUAL IN RUSSIAN
• Pleasant and professional demeanor
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Proficient organization skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• BLS certification

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet Patients

• Translate for patients.

• Utilize when necessary the translation line

• Accurately entering data into EPIC

• Retrieve patients from waiting area using two patient identifiers: cross reference patient chart for patient identification.

• Escort patients to various rooms (changing rooms, modality specific rooms, RN room, etc.)

• Prepare patient exam rooms for patient/RN/Technologist use.

• Turnaround patient rooms: wipe down lockers, door knobs, seats, countertops, change exam table paper, and other actions if applicable.

• Ensure and keep track of patients

• Utilize changing rooms efficiently

• Sorting, processing, distribution and organization of patient gowns/linens in coordination technologists schedule.

• Entering orders accurately, understands the Non-NYU vs. NYU order

• Answering, routing, and distributing calls.

• Communicating via phone call and emails with outside medical offices as well as within NYU and premier imaging.

• Communicate Via Epic Chat

• Collecting and Scanning documents

• Faxing

• Keeping inventory and replenishing patient documents at the front desk

• Assisting patients in filling out forms

• Reporting duplicate charts

• Working closely with staff to identify and resolve issues for the patient.

• Occasional weekend or evening availability to cover other sites as needed and or shifts as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 - $24.68 per hour
