SUMMARY

This position is looking for a Patient Check-In Representative lead to join the Atrius team at our Chelmsford MA location with a schedule of 8:30a- 5:00p Monday- Friday hours. Under general supervision, professionally greets and performs any necessary health screening for all patients entering the practice for medical appointments. Verifies patient demographics and insurance information, making any necessary changes in the Practice Management System. May obtain and enter appropriate referral information. Ensures all patients have completed and signed all forms as needed. Checks patients in, in order to inform clinical unit of patient’s arrival. Collects payments for visit and outstanding balances, as necessary.

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

• 3-5 years patient financial experience within a medical practice or hospital.
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals at all levels.
• Ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment and leadership potential.
• Strong computer skills including electronic medical record and billing system required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance concepts, coverage and administration processes.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.
