Responsibilities
The Patient Care Tech II (PCT II) works in partnership with the licensed nurse to support the delivery of care in a safe patient environment that promotes caring and healing. The PCT II demonstrates basic knowledge and skills necessary to communicate appropriately and carry out delegated tasks for age specific populations under the supervision of a licensed nurse. He/she records data as directed by policy and procedure, and reports observations and patient concerns to the licensed nurse. The Patient Care Technician II is responsible for assigned non-nursing functions.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of approved CNA, or may be in senior year of nursing school with less than one semester to complete the nursing program.
• Must maintain active certification with in the State of Texas.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 2- year experience in acute care hospital or long term care facility.
