The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated Patient Care services in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department within the Acute Care Setting. The PCT works under the clinical direction of the registered nurse (RN).

Lutheran Downtown Hospital, part of the Lutheran Health Network, located on the southwest corner of Main and Van Buren, will be a 60-bed acute care hospital. The planned size of the facility reflects the growth in services being offered in outpatient settings as medical technologies advance. The facility will be built with space to accommodate future growth to more than 100 beds, based on the community's needs.
Lutheran Downtown Hospital will include a 19-bed Emergency Department, operating suites, two gastroenterology suites, imaging services, robotic-assisted surgery and laboratory services.
