Job Summary and Qualifications: Patient Care Tech Part-Time Days

As a Transporter/C.N.A. at our facility you will be joining a hard-working, compassionate team. We value every member of our team and consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels Patient Care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• You will be responsible for transporting patients to other departments for scheduled tests and procedures, and then back to their rooms.
• You will position and drape patients for exams and treatments.
• You will support nursing staff with routine duties, such as changing bed linens.
• You will provide encouragement, support, and comfort to patients and family members.
• You will observe and report information regarding patient needs to licensed personnel.
• You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.

You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.

What qualifications you will need:

· Current Utah certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) required.

· Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program.

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

· Previous Patient Care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
