Summary:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred .
- Completion of one semester and actively enrolled and in good standing in a college credited health science program required, completion of one clinical rotation preferred; or graduate of an EMT-B training curriculum; or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Illinois on the Nursing Assistant registry; or relevant and consistent work experience .

Responsibilities:
- Complies with all hospital policies, regulations, and care standards.
- Maintains privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information.
- Informs the nursing staff of any patient supply issues or concerns.
- May not transport patient for testing or procedures outside of the ED area but must accompany and remain within arm's length of patient unless otherwise directed by nursing staff.
- Observes the patient for physical and/or mental changes.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Recognizes and reports physical and mental changes to the nursing staff.
- Serves as a team member in meeting patient's needs. Transport patients as assigned.
