About the Position
(Schedule - Monday to Friday in office 8-5)
Our office is seeking a talented, caring Patient Care Coordinator to join our front desk team. Responsibilities of this position include reception duties such as answering phones and greeting patients, as well as data entry, record management, and schedule coordination. The ideal candidate will be warm and welcoming towards patients and also an effective communicator while working with other team members.
In addition to administrative experience, it is preferred that the candidate have prior background in dental or health care reception. Our administrative team provides extensive training to ensure new team members are knowledgeable and confident in their daily activities.
Job Responsibilities
· Schedules and confirms patient appointments using practice policies and scripts
· Manages daily schedule to maximize productivity
· Maintains cancellation list and conducts follow up calls to broken appointments
· Assists in office organization and basic clerical duties using office equipment (fax, photocopy)
· Utilizes Dentrix software to maintain updated information (patient chart management, records)
· Enters data and document carefully and consistently into software system to avoid errors
· Handles patient finance at time of service using practice procedures and scripts
· Prepares collection sheet for each day
· Communicates with Department Manager and Billing Department regarding financials
· Changes box money counted and recorded daily
· Balances end-of-day deposit sheet
