Stella Center is a leading provider of breakthrough treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related conditions. We use evidence-based therapies such as stellate ganglion block (SGB) injections and ketamine infusions to help our patients heal from their trauma and reclaim their lives.
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will guide patients through each step of their treatment journey. You will work closely with our team of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and other clinical resources to coordinate the care plans recommended to our patients. You will also handle various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, collecting payments, obtaining consents, documenting symptoms, and gathering feedback.
This role requires exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a high level of empathy and professionalism. You will also need to be familiar with various customer service and electronic medical record tools, as well as adhere to strict compliance guidelines and treatment protocols.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide patient-centered care coordination through various communication channels, education, scheduling, payment, consent, documentation, and feedback processes
- Explain the treatment process, benefits, risks, and expectations to the patients and answer any questions they may have
- Schedule appointments for patients across 30 distinct treatment locations and various treatment types
- Collect payments from patients and verify their insurance coverage and eligibility
- Work with clinical and administrative staff to ensure quality and continuity of care, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Uphold the Stella mission, brand, and messaging
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) and 1-3+ years of experience in Patient Care coordination or related roles, ideally in a virtual setting
- Experience with customer service and EMR tools
- Experience managing multichannel communications across a large patient caseload
- Knowledge and experience working in mental health, crisis response, and/or trauma-informed care is a big plus
- Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and best practices for customer service and Patient Care
- Ability to work fast, prioritize, learn quickly, pay attention to detail, follow through, and stay organized
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work East Coast hours preferred
This is an hourly role and is eligible for overtime.
